It is NOT an emulator when Google released the Android source code.

I have the playbook and its operating system is much more stable than the SOny Tablet S android based one. I am not sure why people are so negative-the playbook has not crashed once in over a month of use. I also LIKE the fact that my contacts, email disappear when I disconnect from Blackberry bridge -becausse I can hand the tablet to others with out worrying they will go through my email, etc.

It will still be quad core. The a5 and a5x will be using the same cortex a9 architecture. But the a5x will be an "x"treme version with 4 cores instead of 2.

It is about time that someone starts to address the problem of the Achilles heel of the iPhone, and probably many Android phones as well. Their lacking of a physical keyboard really is fatally flawed when comes to texting. You will have to look at the tiny keys to type, instead of looking on the screen of what you are writing. Even with the utmost of care you can still make many mistakes by hitting the wrong key on an iPhone. Another app tries to help iPhone users lookup contacts, called PhoneBook Plus, uses a bigger numerical keypad, but it is only limited to searching names, numbers and groups, not for texting. But still, it is easy to see a big difference PhoneBook already made. Siri may be a partial solution, but would be very interesting to see whether there can be a new revolution way of typing on a touch screen.

I'm enjoying my Playbook and the new OS will only add to it's value. The features that it comes with work well and I have been able go make good quality Voip calls, among other things. I like it's portable size and it's great on a trip.

Your housemate must be an idiot dude! I use Siri for practically everything, setting appointments, searching things on the internet, texting to my wife or daughter or son or whoever, just by saying "text my wife......" and it does it ! Siri is outstanding!

The design is definitely a hybrid of Android and Windows Phone 7. Unfortunately, despite having been a long time Blackberry user, I won't switch back from my Windows Phone. RIM took too long to update their OS and hardware, and now that I've seen the effort I'm not very impressed.
